Sachly Dursunowa Medical Secondary Vocational School of Arkadag City

In our country, high importance is attached to training qualified medical professionals to develop and improve the national healthcare system. It is well known that the initiative to establish a specialized educational institution to fully supply the medical facilities built in the city of Arkadag with secondary professional staff was put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag. It is appropriate to note with pride that Hero-Arkadag consistently makes tireless efforts to protect the health of the people and develop domestic healthcare. In February 2023, Honourable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on the establishment of the secondary medical professional school. In March 2023, by a resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, this educational institution was named after the prominent physician Sachly Dursunowa.

Saçly Dursunowa holds the academic degrees of Candidate of Medical Sciences and Doctor of Medical Sciences. The life and labor path of the courageous Turkmen woman, who dedicated herself to her beloved people and Fatherland, serves as a true example for the youth. A museum has been established at the medical college, bringing together documentary materials on the challenging fate, labor biography, and scientific activity of the scholar-physician, recipient of numerous state awards, war veteran, and military doctor Sachly Dursunowa.

Infrastructure and Learning Conditions

The complex of buildings of the new educational institution includes the main building, sports grounds, recreation areas, and a well-equipped dormitory with all conveniences. All modern conditions have been created in the classrooms for the in-depth study of the chosen specialty and basic medical disciplines — biology, anatomy, physiology, and others.

Classrooms and laboratories for practical training are equipped with the latest multimedia and innovative equipment. Modern interactive whiteboards are widely used, enabling classes to be conducted at a high methodological level. Through video lessons, students can take virtual tours of Turkmenistan's rich nature, studying medicinal plants, their structure, and development features.

A crucial component of practical training is mastering the skills of performing various types of injections, measuring blood pressure, and providing first aid (including resuscitation measures for cardiovascular and respiratory disorders) using simulation equipment.

Alongside numerous textbooks and teaching aids in the electronic library, the research papers and monographs of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, serve as a valuable guide for teachers and students. The fundamental multi-volume work by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Academician of the country's Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan,” is the best manual in this field.
